Backing Bars
A-36, ¼” x 1″ x 8″ backing bar
This backing bar is suitable for most welded plate test assemblies. However, if the assembly will be examined by radiography rather than destructive methods, a 3" wide backing bar may be more appropriate. Some codes require a wider backing bar when radiography is used. Other codes require a thicker backing bar. If this is the case, contact us for a quote (sales@fischerengr.com).
